I just moved this site (exact same WordPress install) from Media Temple’s $20/month GRID hosting to Digital Ocean’s smallest $5/mo VPS. The speed difference in insane.

Media Temple - 10.2 sec avg load time
Digital Ocean - ~300ms avg load time

That’s roughly 30 times faster.
